Yummy

Yummy builds its whole catalogue on one idea: the bowl should taste like something you already know — a lemonade, a dessert, the chewing gum of your childhood. Not "tobacco with notes of", but the sweet itself.

It is a Ukrainian brand, and this is worth being straight about: no official site, no manufacturer page, not even a company name could be found. Six independent shops attest the Ukrainian origin and none contradicts it, but there is no primary source behind it.

The base is Virginia Gold, bright leaf with no Burley in the blend. The strength follows from that: light, and that is what every shop willing to rate it calls it. The nicotine does not compete with the flavour here.

Two practical consequences. It suits a beginner, and it suits mixed company where a dark blend would knock someone sideways. And it works as a diluent for something stronger when you want to keep the taste but lose the hit.

A useful quirk: Ukrainian shops put the composition straight into the product title, so there is no guessing. The ones where that genuinely helps:

• М'ятний Раф — not mint but coffee with mint: the raf gives the body, the mint only cools it.
• Фіолетові Цукерки — grape, raspberry and cherry.
• Лісові Ягоди — raspberry and blackcurrant, but with pine, which the name certainly does not tell you.
• Рожевий Лимонад — grapefruit, strawberry, raspberry.
• Тропічний Енергетик — mango, passion fruit, pineapple plus a generic energy-drink note, no named brand.

Yummy's real practical advantage is that it tolerates heat and, more usefully, recovers from being overheated — a scorched bowl can usually be pulled back rather than repacked. For a beginner that is worth more than any flavour description.

Working setup: three coals, 5–7 minutes to heat, packed loose. The cut is medium and even and the moisture moderate, so there is nothing to wring out and no syrup running. A bowl lasts about an hour.

If you pick a hookah by flavour and merely tolerate strength, this is yours. Tiramisu, Strawberry Cheesecake and Fruit Ice Cream cover the dessert side, the lemonades the refreshing one, and Mojito and Pina Colada hold the cocktail line.

The sizes suit home use: 100 g to try, 250 g if it lands. For the same lightness from a brand with a longer track record, look at 4.20 Light, Al Fakher or Fumari.
