Sebero

Sebero does not try to be the most interesting tobacco on the shelf — it tries to have the flavour you need. The base line Classic sits at medium strength on Burley, and the palette covers almost any slot a composition might need. That is why the brand is often bought not for character but for one specific note a mix is missing.

That is not a criticism: in mixing, a component like this has value of its own. Sebero does not pull a composition towards itself and lets the other brands speak.

Beyond the base line there are two further ranges worth knowing by name so you do not confuse strengths in a shop:

• Arctic — the cold range: menthol and icy releases.
• Black — a noticeably stronger range: the published composition is roughly 45% Burley, 40% Virginia and 15% cigar leaf. The cigar share is what makes the difference in weight.

The leaf is finely cut and well steeped, which is where the thick smoke and even flavour delivery come from. A fine cut settles more densely in the bowl, so use slightly less than feels right and do not press it down. Heat tolerance is above average, so the brand holds a long session comfortably; the working setup is three coals on a phunnel.

Pack sizes start at 20 g, which is rare in a market where 50 g is usually the minimum. For a brand whose strength is breadth of choice, that format makes sense: you can assemble several small packs for one specific mix instead of ending up with five open jars you need a third of. 100 and 200 g follow.
